Friday Morning Yogalates

Welcome to our Friday morning class , a combination of Yoga and Pilates. Not sure f to do Pilates of Yoga? here you can do both. Suitable for all need to have more ease and balance in your life. Yogalates can be beneficial for all in a variety of ways to help mentally, emotionally and physically.

Monday Candlelit Yoga

Grab your cosy blankets and pillows, come and join us for our wonderful evening of restorative yoga. Practicing yoga before bedtime is a great way to release everything you're holding onto mentally or physically before enjoying a peaceful night of deep sleep.

It's time to set the record straight on the #1 misconception I hear from people around Donisthorpe, Swadlincote and Ashby... MYTH: "I'd love to try yoga but I'm not flexible enough." REALITY: Flexibility is the RESULT of yoga, not the REQUIREMENT! Think about it this way: That's like saying "I can't go to the gym because I'm not strong enough" or "I can't take cooking classes because I don't know how to cook." THE TRUTH ABOUT FLEXIBILITY:

  • Every single flexible person you see in yoga class started somewhere

  • Many yoga teachers (including me!) began their journey barely able to touch their knees

  • Props like blocks and straps exist specifically to make poses accessible for ALL bodies

Hi, I’m Sarah, a Strala yoga and Pilates teacher passionate about helping people move, feel better, and build strength in a way that works for them. I run Yoga La Zouch, offering a mix of Strala Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yogalates, Chair Yoga, and Beginners Pilates in Donisthorpe, Moira, and surrounding areas. My classes focus on ease, flow, and feeling good in your body—whether you’re looking for gentle movement, deep relaxation, or a mix of yoga and Pilates for strength and flexibility. I started teaching Pilates to complement my love of yoga and support my own perimenopause journey, and now I love helping other women navigate this phase of life through movement. I am also training to support mums in 4th trimester mums with postnatal Pilates to develop core strength and pelvic floor exercises. Outside of teaching, I’m a French and Spanish secondary school teacher, balancing my love of movement with my passion for languages. I’m also a mum of two, navigating family life, work, and my own well-being (just like so many of the people I teach!). Whether you’re a total beginner, returning to movement, or looking to deepen your practice, I’d love to work with you. Come move with me and find what feels good!

By day, I am secondary school Teacher with a passion for sharing Yoga with both the students in schools and with the local community. I support busy people and mums who aspire to be more grounded, calm and who need to find more balance in their lives.
